Work Experience

Duality Studio January 2015 - Present

Managing Director / Web Developer
I successfully run a digital agency, Duality Studio, that specialises in providing bespoke web solutions. To date, we have provided solutions for restaurant bookings, project management SaaS, betting platforms, warehouse management and much more.

Duality Studio takes pride in providing systems that are secure, have positive user experiences and modern look and feels. We have worked with many of our clients for years, some even started working with me before I started Duality Studio.

Corporate Innovations July 2012 - May 2018

Web Developer
My responsibilities include delivering websites for a range of clients with different expectations and requirements. Working at Corporate Innovations has allowed me to develop my knowledge of accessibility standards for the web. As well as delivering client websites I maintain the internal content management system and timesheet manager which have both become essential tools for the running of the business.

In this role, I use a combination of PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and PostGreSQL as well as angular, jQuery and bootstrap. These languages and libraries have enabled me to build bespoke web applications suited to client specifications.

In 2017, I lead the redesign and redevelopment of the internal MVC framework and CMS. This redevelopment has allowed us to focus more on client projects rather than worrying about internal systems which had become dated. As a part of this new system, I have also implemented and enforced new development processes.

Activate Learning June 2015 - September 2015

IT Teacher
At Activate Learning I helped students to learn the principles of front-end web developments. Students learn both theory and performed practical demonstrations which I designed. Students were competent in HTML5, JavaScript and CSS and also learnt to follow a project life cycle.

SweetFE July 2012 - June 2013

Editor for IT
At SweetFE I produced and edited articles for a website called SweetFE Learning. As a part of this role I wrote a series of articles on how to produce websites from scratch. Also while working for SweetFE I redesigned the website and developed a wordpress plugin to help other editors categorise their posts.

Ministry of Defence June 2010

Design Engineer
As a part of my education at The Warriner, I took part in work experience at the MOD. Here I designed and produced a tool for MOD testers to use using AutoDesk design software.

Self-Employed Gardener January 2009 - July 2012

While still at school I set up a small gardening business to service local villages near where I lived. I managed my time for roughly 15 clients as well as two people who worked with me.
